Benefits of Massage

How much do you know about the benefits of massage?

About 4 years ago I graduated from Apollo College with a certificate in Massage Therapy. It was the best program I could have taken. There is so much information about the human body that I learned... it was amazing. Anyways, the following information is something that everyone should know and be aware of:



Massage:



  1. Improves blood circulation, relieving congestion throughout the body.

  2. Stimulates lymph circulation, eliminates toxic waste.

  3. Relaxes muscle spasms and relieves muscle tension.

  4. Improves the tone and elasticity of muscle and skin.

  5. Relieves stiff joints and aching feet.

  6. Reduces stress levels, allowing mind and body relaxation.

  7. Improves sleeping patterns.

  8. Increases excretion of fluids and waste products of inorganic phosphorus and salt in normal individuals.

  9. Stretches connective tissues, breaks down and prevents the formation of adhesions, and reduces the danger of fibrosis.
