Sick building syndrome:
Recycled air in a sealed building full of synthetic fibers, fumes or dust.
While working for an electronics manufacture plant in Phoenix, AZ, I personally experienced headaches from the acrylic paint we were using everyday. I worked in the coating dept. for 2 years and I remember it as the happiest time I ever had. My team was always smiling, having a good time. It dawned on me that the fumes we were exposed to were giving us some strange side effects. Headaches was one of my side effects.
Wondering what to do to get relief? Get some fresh air. It is very important for good health to breathe air that is free of allergens and dust.
Traditionally, health spas were built in natural settings: by the sea side, in the mountains, or out in the country. Of course, today, very few people can afford to take a vacation to go breathe somewhere else. That is where aromatherapy comes in, and that is my specialty. Burning peppermint essential oil in the home or at the work place, not only cleans and disinfects, it also relieves headaches. Dabbing a drop or two on your shirt collar will also help.
Also, make sure you live in as much as possible a dust free environment. And again, this is not always a possibility, seeing that today you dust the house and you find another layer to wipe tomorrow. You can help eliminate some of the dust by keeping the A/C filters changed once a month or even more often. Dust around the home at least 2x week, make sure your floors are clean, and DO vacuum under the sofas from time to time. You will be surprised what you will find under them. I always am.
I hope you found my information helpful and please do leave a comment. Talk to you again, soon.
